I was invited to participate in MICA 2013. MICA is the Market of Creative Industries where participate people from all over the country. This 4-day event was organized by the Department of Culture of the Nation together with the Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship, Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security, Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Federal Planning of Argentina.
It is an honor to have been called to participate in such an important event!
We had to design an object and this had to be a native animal to represent our country.
I chose to make a giant armadillo because it is in serious danger of extinction. His greatest and almost only predator is man.
Armadillos are one of the oldest families of South American mammals are almost prehistoric glyptodonts descendants of battleships and giant ground sloths.
They are good and intelligent creatures who cause me a deep tenderness.
It is my tribute to all the giant armadillos who live and lived in our planet. His name is Coco Terraqueo and was named by my friend Marta.
I want to thank Marisa and Mariana for helping me to give life to Coco. (o ⌒. ⌒ o)
It is woven and hand embroidered with merino wool from La Patagonia. It is so tender and soft that I fell in love with Coco! (｡♥‿♥｡)

Fui invitada para participar en MICA 2013. MICA es el Mercado de Industrias Creativas en el que participan personas de todo el país. Este evento que duró 4 días fue organizado por la Secretaría de Cultura de la Nación conjuntamente con el Ministerio de Industria de Argentina, el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores, Comercio Internacional y Culto, el Ministerio de Trabajo Empleo y Seguridad Social, el Ministerio de Turismo y el Ministerio de Planificación Federal.
Es un honor para mí haber sido convocada para participar de un evento tan importante!
Había que diseñar un objeto y este tenía que ser un animal autóctono que representara a nuestro país.
Elegí hacer un tatú carreta porque se encuentra en grave peligro de extinción. Su mayor y casi único depredador es el hombre.
Los armadillos son unas de las familias de mamíferos más antiguas de Sudamérica, son casi prehistóricos, descendientes de los acorazados gliptodontes y los perezosos gigantes terrestres.
Son seres buenos e inteligentes que me producen una profunda ternura.
Es mi homenaje a todos los tatús carreta que habitan y habitaron nuestro planeta. Se llama Coco Terráqueo y fue bautizado así por mi amiga Marta.
Quiero agradecer a Marisa y a Mariana por ayudarme a darle vida a Coco. (o ⌒. ⌒ o)
